Art on the Ridge Gallery Becomes Ridge Avenue’s Newest Cultural Anchor
Art on the Ridge Gallery has officially opened its doors at 6155A Ridge Avenue, marking a vibrant new chapter for Roxborough’s arts and culture scene. Nestled between Nanu’s Hot Chicken and Edible, this revitalized storefront now serves as a permanent home for one of Northwest Philadelphia’s most exciting visual art destinations.
Step inside Art on the Ridge Gallery, and you’re immersed in an array of creative mediums: paintings, photography, hand-poured candles, custom jewelry, quilted wall hangings, crochet, digital prints, and more. From eye-popping surrealism to earthy minimalism, this collection of over 20 local artists presents an authentic cross-section of Northwest Philly’s creative pulse.
Among the current lineup are recognizable names like Amelia Hay, Courtney Summers, and Taylor Geus, as well as inspired makers like Sweet Nostalgia, Mount Airy Candle Co., and Trippie Times. Whether you’re looking to purchase a statement piece for your home or support a neighbor’s craft, there’s something uniquely personal on every wall and pedestal.
Look to appreciate the regularly rotating roster of artists and thematic group shows at the Art on the Ridge Gallery. Upcoming additions include seasonal installations, artist-led workshops in collage, weaving, and printmaking, plus live music activations and holiday events.
The gallery will be open five days a week: Wednesdays and Thursdays from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Sundays from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Admission is free.

Art on the Ridge Gallery Proves Creativity Is Good for Business
Driven by the Roxborough Development Corporation (RDC), in collaboration with Baker Street Partners, Art on the Ridge Gallery transforms what was once a temporary pop-up into a lasting space for creativity, connection, and commerce. Its mission? To showcase the exceptional talent of local artisans and fine artists from neighborhoods like Roxborough, Manayunk, Mt. Airy, and Germantown, while drawing more foot traffic to Ridge Avenue’s growing corridor.
For the RDC, Art on the Ridge Gallery is a proof of concept. By investing in local talent and curating a dynamic space within a vacant retail property, the initiative demonstrates how art can drive both economic and cultural momentum in a rapidly evolving neighborhood. As Executive Director Jax Cusack puts it, “The opening of Art on the Ridge at our new location is a powerful example of how creativity can breathe new life into our commercial corridor.”
Board President Joann Desper echoes that sentiment, adding that the gallery “will not only highlight the incredible creativity in our community but also serve as a hub for artistic expression and economic growth along Ridge Avenue.” The project’s foundation in community support and private donations further emphasizes its grassroots strength and future potential.
With its curated vibe, expanding programming, and strong neighborhood ties, Art on the Ridge Gallery is Roxborough’s creative heartbeat, and one of the most exciting new destinations for art in the city.
