Meet the artist behind some of contemporary American realism’s most striking images. Bo Bartlett, a celebrated PAFA alum (Certificate ’80) and featured artist in A Nation of Artists, joins the museum for a lunchtime conversation exploring his five-decade career defined by photographic precision and profound emotional depth.

Educated at PAFA in the tradition of Thomas Eakins, Bartlett’s monumental canvases are populated by family and friends caught in moments of everyday transcendence — exploring a mythical concept of the universal home set in Georgia and on the coast of Maine.
