HEADstrong Foundation Fundraiser Returns with Renewed Purpose

On the evening of September 18, 2025, the HEADstrong Foundation brings its most impactful night of the year back to Philadelphia, this time at the stunning new location of The Switch House in Fishtown. Known previously as the Lime Light Gala, this year’s benefit—A Night for the HEADstrong Foundation Benefiting Nick’s House—promises to be a heartfelt celebration of resilience, compassion, and community.

Since its founding by the late Nicholas Colleluori, a former Division I athlete diagnosed with terminal cancer, the HEADstrong Foundation has stood as a pillar of hope for families in the fight of their lives. Nick’s vision endures through every initiative—especially Nick’s House, a unique guest home program that provides free lodging for families forced to travel for treatment. With nearly two decades of support behind it, the Foundation continues to grow in reach and impact, offering vital emotional, financial, and residential care when it’s needed most.

HEADstrong Foundation Fundraiser to Feature Auctions, Entertainment & Awards

This year’s benefit, hosted by Andie Summers of 92.5 XTU, is designed to uplift and inspire. Guests will be welcomed with a cocktail hour followed by live and silent auctions, featuring exclusive, high-value items for bidders to support the cause. The night will pulse with energy thanks to musical entertainment by DJ Gaetano Entertainment and the versatile Brian Fitzy.

In a moving tribute to those in the fight, the event will spotlight a special awards ceremony honoring Penn Medicine’s Hematology and Oncology team, as well as current patients and honorees of the foundation. Each story shared reinforces the mission: to be the ultimate teammate to families navigating the uncertainty of cancer.

All proceeds go directly to Nick’s House, which continues to be offered completely free of charge to families in crisis. Unlike hotels or hospitals, Nick’s House gives patients a comforting home environment—a place where families can heal together without the stress of mounting bills or clinical coldness.

HEADstrong Foundation Continues Nick’s Legacy with Expansion & Impact

To date, the HEADstrong Foundation has supported over 33,800 patients and their families, raised more than $34 million, and provided countless home-cooked meals—including Thanksgiving dinners—to families far from home. With the addition of Nick’s House Boston, the Foundation’s reach now extends far beyond Philadelphia, with continued efforts to expand across the country.

Cheryl Colleluori, president of the HEADstrong Foundation and Nick’s mother, reflects on the mission: “This benefit, like everything we do, is for Nick. He charged me with taking this foundation where it needed to go. It’s our promise to him, and to every family facing cancer, that we’ll be there.”
