As Philly prepares for the holiday season, Hyatt Centric Center City Philadelphia sets the vibe with its Holiday Showcase, an art-filled celebration spotlighting Philadelphia’s vibrant creative community. Launching on Wednesday, November 19, with a public reception from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., this year’s Holiday Showcase is part of the hotel’s signature Maker Series, an initiative dedicated to highlighting the voices, visions, and talents of local artists through rotating exhibitions.

Presented in partnership with InLiquid, the Holiday Showcase transforms the Hyatt Centric’s public spaces into a dynamic gallery experience. Featuring original paintings, photography, collage, mixed media works, and limited-edition prints, the exhibit invites Philadelphians and visitors alike to explore a curated collection of works that are not only visually compelling but also affordably priced for seasonal gift-giving.

The Holiday Showcase at Hyatt Centric Center City Philadelphia offers guests and art collectors an up-close view of work by some of the city’s most exciting creative voices. The featured artists—each with a distinct perspective and practice—contribute to a rich tapestry of styles and stories, all available for purchase through InLiquid.

Photographer Jaime Alvarez captures memory and place with a cultural depth rooted in his Puerto Rican heritage, while painter Mark Weldon Gaines offers emotionally charged abstractions layered in texture and gesture. Shaheed Rucker’s multimedia works challenge and reframe narratives of Black identity and media representation, while Eric Toscano’s collages combine humor and found imagery into vibrant visual fragments.

Brett Walling’s atmospheric photography bridges the digital and the ephemeral, and Edith Zapata brings her Venezuelan heritage into motion-filled expressions of womanhood and symbolism. Zifeng Zang’s abstract paintings blend graphic design precision with meditative mark-making.

InLiquid’s celebrated Edition Prints will also be part of the showcase. These small-run, limited-edition works are created by local artists and serve as an accessible way to collect fine art. All artworks are accompanied by on-site QR codes for easy purchase, with pickup options at InLiquid’s Crane Arts Building or shipping directly to buyers after the exhibit concludes in early January 2026.
