Name: Padraic Maroney
Occupation: Author of “It All Began With A Scream”.
Born and raised or imported to Philly? Imported. Grew up in upstate New York until moving to Bucks County in high school.
What is your connection/relationship to Philly? I’ve lived in Center City-ish since graduating college and can’t see myself living anywhere else. Everything is a stone’s throw away. Now that the new AMC theater opened, you never have to leave for anything.
Favorite restaurant in Philly? How can you pick just one? But I guess Parc is the one I go to most.
Best place to shop in Philly (food, clothes, gifts, jewelry, etc). Select one? I’m a runner, so I got to go to Philadelphia Runner to get hooked up with everything to be race ready.
What is your one favorite “best kept secret” about Philly? Something that you and only a few others know about but everyone should… Washington Square Park is actually better than Rittenhouse Park.
What makes Philly your Philly? It’s the sixth biggest city in the country, but it feels like a small town with all of the neighborhoods. It’s small enough that you can run into people randomly, yet big enough to avoid people you don’t want to see.
