On Wednesday, August 27, from 7 PM until midnight, Philly’s 48 Record Bar will team up with Atlantic City’s Anchor Rock Club for a special collaborative event titled Vinyl Nite!, for a night of music, cocktails, and crate-digging just steps from the iconic boardwalk.
Held at Anchor Rock Club (247 S. New York Ave), one of Atlantic City’s most beloved independent music venues, Vinyl Nite! will convert the space into a summer-inspired sonic escape. Guests can expect a curated vinyl soundtrack by 48 Record Bar’s Creative Director, Joey Sweeney, alongside guest selector Daniel Giangrandi. The setlist promises breezy, sun-soaked tracks perfect for closing out the season with good vibes and even better company.
Vinyl Nite!: Fresh Wax, No Cover, and True Philly Style at the Jersey Shore
The collaboration between 48 Record Bar and Anchor Rock Club is a celebration of community and the shared love of vinyl culture. In addition to live DJ sets, the pop-up will feature crates of fresh vinyl for sale, handpicked by Sweeney and Giangrandi. These selections include timeless classics, underground gems, and summer-ready grooves, giving attendees the chance to take a piece of the night home.
Adding to the laid-back, come-as-you-are atmosphere, Vinyl Nite! is a no-cover event, welcoming walk-ins throughout the evening. It’s a rare chance to experience 48 Record Bar’s award-winning listening room vibe transported to the shore, complete with Atlantic City’s nightlife energy and Anchor Rock Club’s storied venue charm.

“We go way back with the team at Anchor Rock Club, and we can’t wait to kick off Labor Day Weekend early with them,” says Sweeney. “Dani and I will be playing lots of summer-y jams and slinging only records that we personally endorse!”
