In a solid move marking its 10-year milestone, Bluebird Distilling has announced a transformative $2 million renovation to its downtown Phoenixville home. These ambitious Bluebird Distilling renovations will not only reshape the space physically but redefine the guest experience for this award-winning grain-to-glass distillery. From the moment you step onto 100 Bridge Street, the evolution is evident—one designed to celebrate community, flavor, and craftsmanship all under one roof.
Construction kicks off this month and will roll out in phases to ensure uninterrupted access to Bluebird’s beloved cocktail bar and retail shop. As Bluebird Distilling celebrates a decade of innovation, these renovations signal a vibrant new chapter for the brand and its ever-growing fanbase.
Bluebird Distilling Renovations: A Community Hub Reimagined

The centerpiece of the Bluebird Distilling renovations is a brand-new, custom-designed rectangular bar—a communal gathering point that embodies the warmth and energy of Bluebird’s spirit. Seating approximately 30 guests, the bar anchors a redesigned tasting room filled with industrial-chic finishes and the welcoming comfort of a “barrel room lounge” complete with a decorative fireplace and custom banquettes.
Founder and Master Distiller Jared Adkins describes it best: “We’re not just expanding—we’re evolving. This next chapter is all about crafting a deeper, more dynamic guest experience.” And that’s exactly what’s taking shape. Whether it’s cocktails, coffee, or casual conversation, the goal is to foster genuine connection—Bluebird’s true hallmark.

Bluebird Distilling Renovations: Culinary Craft Meets Cocktail Culture
One of the most exciting aspects of the Bluebird Distilling renovations is the addition of a full-service Neo-Neapolitan pizzeria. The open-air kitchen will showcase scratch-made pizza dough, house-baked breads, seasonal sandwiches, and vibrant salads—all created to complement Bluebird’s robust cocktail program. With chef counter seating and dishes made to pair perfectly with spirits, this new culinary experience is a feast for every sense.

But the experience doesn’t stop at the plate. Coffee lovers can rejoice with the expanded espresso program, courtesy of Bluebird’s sister brand Char & Stave. Known for its playful “coffee made by whiskey people” ethos, Char & Stave will also feature coffee liqueurs and bottled beans, further enriching the multifaceted flavors found on-site.
Bluebird Distilling Renovations: Shop, Sip, and Stay Awhile
An enhanced retail experience rounds out the Bluebird Distilling renovations, giving visitors even more reason to linger. The redesigned bottle shop will showcase a dramatic barrel stave wall, spotlighting the full Bluebird lineup—from staple bourbons and ryes to limited-edition gins and rums. Also available will be Char & Stave’s coffee spirits, amari, and beans, alongside Adkins’ latest venture, Townie Whiskey—a smooth, approachable line destined for home bars everywhere.
Bluebird Distilling Renovations: Visionaries Behind the Upgrade
The design-forward vision of the Bluebird Distilling renovations is powered by a standout creative team. Architect Paul Salvaggio, designer Michael Gruber, True Hand Design studio, and acclaimed pizza consultant Gregorio Fierro have all contributed to this next-generation distillery space. Their work ensures that every detail—from the layout to the lighting—echoes Bluebird’s commitment to quality, creativity, and comfort.

With renovations underway and the 10th anniversary as the backdrop, Adkins and his team invite Philadelphians to be part of the celebration. Expect new flavors, new products, and a dramatically enhanced space ready for its grand reopening this winter.
