The Downtown Camden Art Crawl makes its grand return on Thursday, June 12, 2025, transforming Camden, New Jersey’s Market Street between 2nd and 4th Streets into a vibrant celebration of local art and culture. Organized by the Camden Special Services District and led by their new Executive Director, Kristine Kennedy, this third edition promises to be the largest yet, featuring over thirty talented local artists, captivating live performances, engaging workshops, and an exciting array of family-friendly activities.
With a deep commitment to supporting Camden’s flourishing artistic community, the Art Crawl pairs artists and makers with local businesses to foster connections and showcase their creativity. Attendees can look forward to live art demonstrations, including Ernest Ford’s compelling mixed-media installations crafted from reclaimed materials, and Terina Nicole Hill’s bold leather fashion and home accessories, celebrating sustainability and heritage.
Art lovers can further explore powerful expressions such as Felicia Biles’ vivid, large-scale paintings centering on spirituality and Black femininity, and immerse themselves in Kiona Golden-Moton’s exquisite handcrafted jewelry inspired by African symbolism. Photographic storytelling also takes center stage with Samantha Benvissuto’s poignant documentary-style images that beautifully capture Camden’s multifaceted community, while Richard Timbers continues his iconic traveling portrait project, THE CHAIR, inviting attendees to become part of this unifying narrative.
