Born and raised or imported to Philly? I was born and raised in Haiti but moved to Philadelphia in 2008. My brother used to live in Philadelphia and when I came to visit him in the city, I fell in love immediately. I knew I wanted to live here ever since then. I moved here officially in 2008.
Favorite restaurant in Philly? There are way too many to choose from! Because of COVID though, I haven’t been dining out much, but I am excited to try Marco Polo. The restaurant is right down the street from my studio and looks amazing!

Best place to shop in Philly (food, clothes, gifts, jewelry, etc). Select one? I love going to Macy’s when I have free time. I love to look around and see what designers are coming up with every season. It gives me the chance to get inspiration but also a chance for some “me time.”
What is your one favorite “best kept secret” about Philly? Something that you and only a few others know about but everyone should… This is definitely a very secret location. But there is a little path behind my house that is perfect for evening walks. There’s water nearby as well and it’s perfect when I want to relax and get some fresh air.
What makes Philly your Philly? I love everything about the city and the surrounding areas! I’ve lived in Florida and New York and nothing compares to Philadelphia. The culture and diversity are great and it feels like home to me. There are so many opportunities for small businesses in the city too, which is why I decided to open my bridal studio here.
