Philadelphia-born-and-bred comedian Kevin Hart is having a good October already

A new baby, pre-production of RIDE ALONG 3 and a new audiobook series? Not a bad way to kick off the month.

You can’t say that ever since comedian Kevin Hart left Philly – getting booed on stage at South Street’s The Laff House when he was still using the name ‘Lil Kev’ – that his life hasn’t gotten better, and his career, more successful. That’s not to say that Hart won’t tout Philly pride at every opportunity. Just watch his Netflix documentary series, “Don’t F**k This Up.” His Philadelphia backstory is the basis for a good half of that autobiographical film.

That autobiography just got a little deeper as of October 1. Along with announcing the birth of a new baby (he and his wife, Eniko Hart, had a girl, Kaori Mai Hart, on Tuesday) and that he and Ice Cube were gearing up for pre-production on their cop comedy, “Ride Along 3,” Kevin Hart’s Laugh Out Loud (LOL Audio) – the comedy brand and multi-platform entertainment company founded by the comic in partnership with Simon & Schuster Audio – released its debut audiobook title, “Laugh Out Loud Presents Comedy in Color, Volume 1, Hosted by Lil Rel.”
