The Pennsylvania Horticultural Society (PHS) brightens the spring season with the return of the PHS Pop-Up Gardens on Jamestown Avenue in Manayunk and on South Street. These urban oases offer a sanctuary for relaxation and enjoyment and embody PHS’s mission to advance health and well-being through horticulture. From March 29 through late fall, visitors can immerse themselves in lush plantings, savor delicious food and drinks, and partake in various activities celebrating gardening and outdoor living joys.

2024 marks a significant milestone for the South Street Garden, celebrating its 10th anniversary. This decade-long journey has transformed the space into a beloved community hub renowned for its enchanting ambiance and contribution to PHS’s greening efforts. In honor of this anniversary, the garden introduces a special $10 cocktail each month starting in May, leading to a grand birthday bash in September. Visitors can also look forward to an expanded menu of frozen cocktails, perfect for toasting to the warmer months ahead.
