The Quoin Hotel’s Simmer Down Hosts a Stage at Ladybug Music Festival 2026

The Quoin Hotel curates a Simmer Down stage at the Ladybug Music Festival 2026 — folk, Americana, and indie folk on Saturday, May 30 in Wilmington.

The Quoin Hotel hosts a curated stage at the Ladybug Music Festival 2026 inside its Simmer Down speakeasy, lining up five women singer-songwriters across soul, indie folk, alt-pop, and Americana for Saturday, May 30. The bar transforms into one of the festival’s most intimate listening rooms for the day.

The Ladybug Music Festival 2026 returns to downtown Wilmington’s Market Street on Saturday, May 30, as the largest free, women-led music festival in the United States. Presented by Chase and produced by Gable Music Ventures, the festival has grown from a 2012 block party into a multi-stage celebration drawing thousands to the city.

New for 2026 is a Women’s Week of programming — a film evening in partnership with the Wilmington International Film Festival, an entrepreneurship event, and TEDxWilmingtonWomen — leading into the main festival day.

Simmer Down Stage Lineup at Ladybug Music Festival 2026

Simmer Down stitches the day into five 40-minute sets, running from mid-afternoon into the evening. The lineup moves from soulful singer-songwriter through acoustic folk, alt-pop, Americana, and indie folk.

The afternoon opens with Meg Murray, an Annapolis-based singer-songwriter whose powerhouse vocals have anchored bands across the Chesapeake region for three decades. A founding member of AMFM and the Songbird Festival, Murray performed alongside her mentor Eva Cassidy and has released six albums on her Girl Island Productions label. Her set at the Ladybug Music Festival 2026 runs from 3:15 to 3:55 PM.

Dover, Delaware’s Emily Moses McNatt follows at 4:10 PM with an acoustic folk set built around songs from her EP “Come Out of The Shadows.” The collection — written over a decade and released in late 2023 — leans into intimate, introspective songwriting that’s earned her a steady regional following in central Delaware.

Payel takes the stage at 5:05 PM. The Boyertown, Pennsylvania singer-songwriter built her name in the Philadelphia area as a Top 10 regional finalist in a 2014 virtual competition tied to The Voice, and has been a fixture of the Make Music Upper Perk series since its inception in 2013. Her set draws from pop and alternative.

Western Pennsylvania’s Alyssa Hankey brings the evening into Americana territory at 6:00 PM. A self-described “traveling troubadour,” Hankey writes about the steel mills and rolling hills of the Monongahela Valley, delivering her songs in a raspy voice that’s drawn comparisons to Bruce Springsteen and Bob Dylan. She’s shared stages with The Clarks, Charles Wesley Godwin, and Warren Zeiders, and has a new full-length album due in early 2026.

The night closes with Brooklyn-based indie folk songwriter Sofía Campoamor at 6:55 PM. Born in Washington, DC, Campoamor studied music composition at Yale, where she became the first woman member of the Whiffenpoofs. Her second album, “with all the lights on,” weaves folk intimacy with the sonic edges of indie pop and rock.

Simmer Down — the speakeasy at The Quoin — becomes a curated music room for the day. For festival-goers cycling between Market Street’s open-air stages, it’s a chance to slow down and hear five sets in a single, design-forward room.

The Ladybug Music Festival 2026 runs Saturday, May 30, with the main stage and partner venues spread across downtown Wilmington. The event is free and all-ages, with registration required. The broader Women’s Week programming starts earlier in the week, with separate tickets for the film evening, TEDxWilmingtonWomen, and the entrepreneurship event.
