The Made in Philadelphia Summer Market brings the unofficial close of summer to Dilworth Park, running Friday, September 4 through Sunday, September 6 as a free, family-friendly send-off to the season. More than 60 local makers, artists, and food vendors will fill the west side of City Hall for the market’s debut Labor Day Weekend, part of a growing year-round series at the park.
What to Expect at the Made in Philadelphia Summer Market
The market runs Friday and Saturday from 12 to 8 p.m., and Sunday from 12 to 6 p.m., rain or shine, with admission free throughout. Shoppers can browse handmade art, jewelry, home goods, skincare, specialty foods, and one-of-a-kind gifts from more than 60 small businesses drawn from Philadelphia and the wider tri-state region.
CEO Thomas Bauer framed the new market as a natural extension of what’s already working at Dilworth Park. “The new Made in Philadelphia Market Summer Market over Labor Day Weekend reflects the creativity and entrepreneurial spirit that defines Philadelphia,” Bauer said, crediting the partnership with the Center City District for helping activate the park year-round.

Meet a Few of the Made in Philadelphia Summer Market Vendors
Early previews of the vendor lineup already hint at the market’s range. Fairy Greens Lavender Farm brings bouquets, candles, and body sprays built around its own lavender, while Terri the Honey Lady offers raw, unfiltered honey in a range of sizes. Happiness is…Granola rounds out the food table with gluten-free, organic granola made with vegan chocolate chips.
On the art and accessories side, Kit Kat Kanvas turns grocery store nostalgia into playful artwork, Wear Again curates one-of-a-kind upcycled clothing, and Carmona Mobile Foods will be on hand with made-to-order lemonades in flavors like strawberry, mango, and lime. The full vendor list is still being announced, with more names expected in the coming weeks.

Made in Philadelphia Summer Market is Part of a Growing Market Series
The Summer Market joins a full seasonal lineup at Dilworth Park from the same organizers behind Christmas Village in Philadelphia, following the Spring Market’s own debut earlier this year. A Fall Market follows October 9-11, before the series closes out the year with the nationally recognized Holiday Market, running November 13 through January 1.
Attendees driving in can register on the iParkit app using code MADEINPHILA for a discounted rate at the garage adjacent to Dilworth Park, just a short walk from the market itself.
There’s something genuinely nice about a market built entirely around small, independent makers getting a proper send-off for summer in the middle of the city. That’s the main point of the Made in Philadelphia Summer Market. A free afternoon that asks nothing more than showing up, wandering, and maybe finding a new favorite honey or candle shop along the way — Philadelphia’s small business community deserves exactly this kind of platform, and it’s worth being grateful the city keeps building more chances to show up for it.
