The Audi Feastival returns, benefiting the Philly Fringe Fest 2021 at a new location, The Budd in East Falls.

Before the start of 2021’s Philadelphia Fringe Festival, and its return to live stages, its founder, curator and CEO Nick Stuccio made sure to enthuse about the fest’s usual finale – something that, like the Fringe itself, went all virtual in 2020 through the pandemic. “Feastival is back, and live, just like everything else about the Fringe this year,” said Stuccio regarding one of Philadelphia’s culinary events of the season – any season – now in its 12th iteration. Additionally titled (as per its sponsor) the Audi Feastival, the event was started by Audrey Claire Taichman, Stephen Starr and Michael Solomon to benefit additional costs incurred by Stuccio’s Fringe Festival. Since its start, upwards of 40 of Philadelphia’s best known and beloved restaurants and bars hook up with Stuccio’s FingeArts HQ for a night of food and freak-a-delic performance art, aerialists and more.

This year is no different, save for Audi Feastival’s location – a brand new venue The Budd, located in East Falls at 3431 Fox Street (same location as the Fringe Fest’s recent Sun and Sea spectacle from Arcadia University) and includes new menu food and booze fare from the likes of Mission Taqueria, Oyster House, a. kitchen, Cheu Fishtown/Nunu, Hardena, Mike’s BBQ, La Chinesca, Urban Farmer Steakhouse, The Twisted Tail, Square 1682, Bing Bing Dim Sum, Irwin’s and more.

Several chefs and restauranteurs volunteered their testimony on the matter and power of Feastival.

“After what we have gone through as an industry over the last two years, it is more important now than ever for us to connect with the Philadelphia community,” said Executive Chef Sonny Ingui from Urban Farmer Philadelphia. “Representing the artistry in cooking in such a forum is so important to regaining normalcy in our lives. Not just for those eating at the event, but for those of us cooking as well.”

“Myself and the entire team at Square 1682 are thrilled to be a part of the Feastival community, alongside some of our close friends in the culinary scene here in Philly,” said Chef Mackenson Horebe from Square 1682. “Feastival is an exceptional representation of our robust culinary scene and it feels great to be able to get back to some sort of normalcy with its return this year.”

“Feastival is my favorite foodie event of the year and I am excited for it to be back!” said George Reilly, Owner of The Twisted Tail. “We concentrate on providing a cocktail experience to remember every year at Feastival and this year is no different, so I look forward to being able to “Cheers” with old friends and new.”

Isn’t such chef testifying enough? See you at The Budd tonight at 7 pm for Feastival.
