The Grove returns to Assembly Rooftop Lounge with a Mediterranean theme and VIP kick-off party.

Assembly Rooftop Lounge is bringing back its seasonal pop-up, The Grove at Assembly, for a second year with a Southern Italy theme featuring citrus cocktails, Mediterranean food, and views of the Philadelphia skyline.

The Grove, Season Two features a recreation of an Italian coastal summertime escape, transforming the lounge into a coastal panorama drawing inspiration from the colorful and lush scenery of the Italian cliffside towns along the coast. As you enter, you will immediately notice a beautiful mural painted in the style of Fresco art, a classic Vespa scooter, and a variety of vivid flowers and plants spread throughout the entire space.

The menu boasts a Mediterranean seafood-forward course prepared by Executive Chef Sonny Ingui. Taste Italy in dishes such as the Lobster Roll, which is served with chive aioli and local chips. The Halibut Bionchetti Limon features Ligurian olive oil, parsley, and rucola. And the Salmon Fritto includes Jail Island salmon, limoncello aioli, and pickled caper salad. The Oysters are served with a cucumber mignonette. Try the Eggplant Caponata, the Burrata Caprese, or theMargherita Flatbread. For those who love desserts, you can treat yourself to Rum Baba for with candied mango, pineapple, and Chantilly cream or Homemade by Bruno Gelato Pops, available in Raspberry Watermelon or Lemon Ricotta flavors.

The cocktail menu has a variety of citrus-based drinks that will make you feel like you’re in Southern Italy. Walking in Sicily, made with Bahnez mezcal, Ancho Reyes Verde, grapefruit cordial, lime, and grapefruit; Coastal Clear, made with Malfy con Limone Gin, basil infused dry vermouth, lemon olio zucchero; and Pep Talk, made with Tito’s vodka, Cocchi Americano, strawberry-pink-peppercorn syrup, and lemon.

Assembly’s popular Frosé drink never disappoints, and the new Frozen Aperol Spritz made with Aperol, elderflower, orange, grapefruit, lemon, and prosecco has the potential to become Assembly’s favorite drink for the summer.

During Aperitivo Hour from Sunday to Thursday, from 4 pm to 5 pm, select cocktails, wines, beers, and bites will be available at discounted prices, such as a rotating daily Spritz Frosé, cheese, charcuterie, and marinated olives, as well as oysters.

To formally celebrate the launch of The Grove Season Two, Assembly is hosting a VIP party on May 4th from 6 pm to 9 pm. Guests will see the transformed space, taste the new food and cocktail menus, and enjoy the Aperitivo Happy Hour, a DJ playing Ibiza-inspired beach club tunes, a 360-degree Photobooth, and more. Tickets for the VIP launch party are $100.00.

Beyond the launch party, The Grove Season Two will be available for walk-ins based on availability, Sunday through Thursday from 4 pm to 12 am and Friday and Saturday from 4 pm to 1 am. Reservations for larger groups are recommended and encouraged.
