Chef Townsend Wentz opens the Townsend Wentz Restaurant Group’s fourth establishment, The Hayes, with traditional American pub flavor.  

The Hayes, Midtown Village’s contemporary American tavern and gastropub from Chef Townsend Hayes Wentz is now open for business. The daily eaterie and bar offers a full menu of new American cuisine, craft beers, timeless cocktails, wines on tap, and much more. 

The Hayes, situated in the lively Midtown Village (1123 Walnut Street, Philadelphia) is a revered contemporary American gastropub that serves patrons high-quality comfort food. Visit for a classic mid-century style dining experience and savor delicious East Coast Oysters, the infamous The Hayes Burger, or Steak Frites. With an L-shaped bar that can seat up to 22 guests and spacious seating throughout.

Found right beside Chef Wentz’s Spanish tapas and sherry bar concept Oloroso, The Hayes, delivers its own take on classic pub food like burgers, mussels, wings, and other entrées. Seven days a week, Wentz’s all-new menu to the public from 11:30 am until late. Enjoy eight domestic brews from 18 taps along with Old Speckled Hen on nitro and everchanging craft beers to enjoy.
