May 27 @ 12:00 am - July 2 @ 11:59 pm

ArtPhilly’s inaugural citywide festival features over 30 newly commissioned works by Philadelphia artists across five neighborhood districts — Old City, Kensington, Germantown, University City, Kingsessing, Parkside, and South Broad Street. The five-week program spans music, dance, film, theater, visual arts, culinary arts, and poetry, timed to coincide with the 250th anniversary of the nation’s founding. Highlights include Anna Deavere Smith’s original play Basil Biggs (June 26–28) and Colette Fu’s Iron and Paper pop-up book installation. Accessible via SEPTA.
