Grace Winery has ushered in an exciting new chapter with the appointment of Dan Netter as Executive Chef. Netter, a seasoned culinary expert with nearly 15 years of diverse kitchen experience, takes the reins with a mission to transform the winery’s tasting room into a premier culinary destination. Alongside his arrival, Grace Winery also introduces an all-new, hyper-localized menu that celebrates the bountiful flavors of the Brandywine Valley.
Originally from Kingston, New York, Dan Netter’s culinary career took flight in 2012 at The Standard Hotel in downtown Los Angeles. Inspired by the pulse of the professional kitchen, he pursued formal training at Le Cordon Bleu in Pasadena. His professional arc led him across the U.S., honing his skills at renowned establishments such as Heartwood Provisions in Seattle, and CÚRATE and The Black Bird in Asheville, North Carolina. Netter’s Philadelphia tenure includes leadership roles at Parc, Harper’s Garden, South Philadelphia Tap Room, and most recently, as Corporate Catering Chef at the Comcast Center. Now, at Grace Winery, Dan Netter infuses his passion for French and Spanish cuisine with the terroir-driven ethos of the winery.
“As soon as I stepped on the property I was hit with a feeling of endless possibilities,” says Netter. With access to exceptional local produce, dairy, meats, and honey, his vision is to build a menu that not only complements the winery’s offerings but also elevates the entire Grace experience.
Chef Dan Netter Unveils a Hyper-Local, Wine-Inspired Menu
With a keen understanding of food and wine harmony, Dan Netter has rolled out a tasting room menu that emphasizes shareable plates and wine-centric cooking. Signature items like Shrimp Provencal, featuring Grace Winery Chardonnay, and Oysters paired with a Rosé mignonette showcase the chef’s commitment to pairing precision. Guests can also indulge in dishes like the Tomato Salad with heirloom tomatoes and fromage blanc, or the French Country Chicken Wrap braised in Cabernet Franc. From the hearty Hamburger made with Green Meadows beef to the plant-forward Squash Milanese Sandwich, the menu offers something for every palate.

Rounding out the experience are desserts that hit all the right notes: the Strawberry Shortcake with vanilla Chantilly, and the Chocolate Hazelnut Torte crowned with a sea salt crumble.
Complementing Dan Netter’s appointment is the addition of Tasting Room Manager Carolyn Schneider. A respected name in Philly’s natural wine scene, Schneider brings years of industry expertise and a winemaking background, having worked harvests from Wisconsin to Germany. Together, Netter and Schneider represent a bold and flavorful future for Grace Winery.
Grace Winery’s tasting room, now open with extended hours on Fridays from 4 to 9 pm, Saturdays from 12 to 9 pm, and Sundays from 12 to 7 pm, invites guests to immerse themselves in a culinary experience that continues to honor its heritage while embracing innovation and local flavor.
