Harvest Seasonal Grill & Wine Bar is hosting a five-course plant-based Mediterranean dinner this month — at the Newtown location on Wednesday, July 8, and at all other locations on Thursday, July 16, both at 6:30 pm. Three tiers: $49 without pairings, $69 with a dedicated mocktail program, $89 with spirit pairings. Seating is limited; reservations are required.

The course that signals what kind of evening this is: Pan-Seared Tofu “Scallops,” paired with Pio Cesare Gavi DOCG from Piedmont. Searing tofu to achieve a scallop-like texture is a technique that takes the plant-based Mediterranean format seriously — not as a substitution, but rather as a kitchen decision. The Gavi, a Cortese-based white from a respected Piedmontese producer, pairs logically with the seafood-adjacent format.
