Current city: I’m currently based in Philly.
Born and raised there or imported? I’ve lived in Pennsylvania my whole life. Born and raised in the Lehigh Valley, then moved to West Chester and went to college at West Chester University.
What is your connection to your current city? I’m currently an intern at Koresh Dance Company, so essentially, dance brought me to Philly. I feel like I was meant to find my way to here. The opportunities for young artists and creatives like myself are incredible in the city, and I find myself making valuable connections here every day.
What’s your favorite restaurant? It’s so hard to choose, but Chatayee Thai in Center City is definitely up there for me. Authentic Thai flavors, elegant decor and ambiance, and an abundance of vegan options listed on their menu, as well.
Best place to shop? Joan Shepp. I’m a bit biased- but it’s a no-brainer for me. In terms of fashion, there’s no better place in the city to get inspired by cool and innovative designs. I’ve had the honor of modeling for the store, and not only is the team stylish and fabulous, they are extremely kind and considerate, too. If you’re looking for an outfit for a special event, night out, or just to find a beautiful piece to add to your wardrobe, Joan Shepp is the best spot to shop.
What is your one favorite “best kept secret” about your city? Something that you and only a few others know about but everyone should? Bean2Bean Coffee Company is a hidden gem of a cafe. They have the best coffee, matcha, and specialty drinks in town. The food is incredible, with a unique and always evolving menu. They are located inside of Billy Penn studios. Go check them out!
What makes your city your city? What do you absolutely love about it? What I adore about Philly is that there is such a valiant community of artists and creators who push boundaries through their work. The city life inspires the art, and vice versa.
