Robertson’s Flowers and Events Opens Its First Center City Storefront

Robertson’s Flowers & Events opens its first Center City storefront at The Concourse at Comcast Center on August 20, ahead of the family-owned florist’s 100th anniversary in 2027.

Robertson’s Flowers & Events is opening its first-ever Center City storefront on August 20, inside The Concourse at Comcast Center — a milestone arriving just ahead of the family-owned florist’s 100th anniversary in 2027. The new shop marks Robertson’s third regional location and its first venture into the heart of the city after nearly a century rooted in Chestnut Hill and the Main Line.

Robertson’s Flowers & Events’ Path to a Century in Business

Robertson’s has operated as a family-owned florist since 1927, building its reputation on the Main Line and in Chestnut Hill, where it still keeps a storefront alongside a second location in Bryn Mawr and a design studio and warehouse in Wyndmoor. President Taylor Ferry framed the Comcast Center opening as part of that longer arc, saying it’s a way to “honor our history by investing in our future” heading into the company’s centennial year.

A Center City storefront has been years in the making for Robertson’s, and Comcast Center’s foot traffic — daily commuters, residents, and visitors moving through one of the city’s busiest commercial hubs — gives the century-old business a very different customer base than its suburban locations have offered.

What’s Inside the New Robertson’s Flowers & Events Storefront

The Comcast Center shop is built for both quick stops and larger orders: grab-and-go bouquets, fresh floral arrangements, indoor plants, and a curated selection of giftware sit alongside custom arrangement orders available for pickup, with delivery offered throughout the region. Beyond day-to-day purchases, the storefront also functions as an entry point into Robertson’s larger wedding, corporate, and special-event floral design services, connecting walk-in customers with the same design team behind the company’s large-scale event work.

Robertson’s Flowers & Events Joins a Growing Concourse at Comcast Center

Robertson’s becomes the latest established Philadelphia name to land at The Concourse at Comcast Center, joining Termini Brothers Bakery, Pagano’s Market, Pizzeria Salvy, and Revolution Taco Express among the retail mix there. Deborah Buhles, Comcast’s Senior Vice President of Administration, said the company is “continually looking for opportunities to introduce more exceptional local businesses” to the campus, calling Robertson’s “a perfect addition” given its Philadelphia roots.

The new storefront opens Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., beginning August 20, at 1701 John F Kennedy Boulevard. Orders can be placed through Robertson’s own site. It’s a notable expansion for a business that’s spent most of its history serving Chestnut Hill and the Main Line — including Chestnut Hill’s own seasonal streetscape events — and one that now puts Robertson’s directly in Center City’s daily rhythm ahead of its 100th year.
