Rules of the Game – Adrian Younge featuring Snoop Dogg
Adrian Younge is a renowned Emmy Award-winning composer and producer from Los Angeles, known for his analog sound and collaborations with artists such as Jay-Z, Kendrick Lamar, and Wu-Tang Clan. He has worked with legends like Roy Ayers and Cee Lo, and composed music for projects like Marvel’s “Luke Cage.” Younge founded Linear Labs and co-owns the label Jazz Is Dead. His latest work, “Rules of the Game,” is part of an upcoming blaxploitation-themed project with Snoop Dogg titled “Don’t Cry for the Devil.” The album features Snoop as the fictional pimp Silky Slim.
Relationships – HAIM
Los Angeles rock band HAIM makes a powerful return with a brand new single “Relationships,” out now on Columbia Records. “What’s all this talk about relationships?” is among the questions explored by the sister trio of Este, Danielle, and Alana Haim who navigate the whirlwind of unexplainable feelings brought on by the evolution of relationships.
GET LITE – Toxic Rob
TOXIC SUMMER is a five-track EP showcasing Toxic Rob’s versatility as a genre-blending artist. It incorporates hip-hop, Latin rhythms, and dance beats, proving he can’t be confined to one style. Rob’s smooth delivery and strong mic control shine throughout the project. The EP starts with “GET LITE,” an energetic drill anthem featuring slick verses and a catchy hook, making it a standout for fans of hip-hop.
Used to It – CLOVER
CLOVER’s song “Used to It” captures the magic and spontaneity of her nomadic lifestyle, reflecting themes of freedom, love, and adventure. Her sound blends folk, pop, and soul, merging the timeless energy of the 60s and 70s with a modern twist. Influenced by artists like Lake Street Dive, Maggie Rogers, and Carole King, CLOVER’s music ranges from upbeat anthems to introspective ballads exploring love, loss, independence, and spirituality.
Congratulations – After Ours
After Ours, born Kayla Janowitz, delivers a personal cover of MGMT’s 2010 track “Congratulations,” a favorite since its release. Before creating her own music, she focused on covers, which deepened her understanding of music. This cover aligns with her tradition of including inspirations, as seen in her first EP featuring The Zombies’ “The Way I Feel Inside.” After Ours believes covers reveal an artist’s inspirations and inner world.
