In a special ode to Women’s History Month, Red Owl Tavern is set to dazzle wine aficionados with a singular Winemaker Dinner featuring an exquisite six-course wine pairing meticulously crafted in collaboration with J.Lohr Vineyards on March 26 from 7 pm to 10 pm. Guests will embark on a delectable journey led by Kristen Barnhisel, the architect behind J.Lohr Vineyards’ esteemed white wine program, and Heather Conaway, whose culinary creations are poised to complement each varietal flawlessly.

The exquisite six-course meal is set to begin with a welcome drink of Wildflower Valdiguié Negroni, complemented with poached pear and prosciutto to set the stage for the evening’s elevated flavor profiles. 

Next comes the Tuna Crudo, artfully paired with Flume Crossing Sauvignon Blanc, introducing citrus and spice that will tantalize your taste buds. The third course is a pan-seared Scallop with beurre blanc, Sorrento lemon, and fennel that is perfectly matched with October Night Chardonnay, showcasing Barnhisel’s mastery in white wine production. 

The fourth course is a delicious Cavatelli pasta with Italian sausage and Calabrian chili that finds its perfect match in the Falcon’s Perch Pinot Noir, demonstrating the versatility of J.Lohr’s reds. Moving on to the fifth course, you’ll enjoy a Prime NY Strip with Risotto Alla Carbonara that is robustly paired with Hilltop Cabernet, emphasizing the depth of J.Lohr’s portfolio. 

Finally, the evening will conclude with a sweet note: a dessert of Pistachio Baklava with vanilla mascarpone and charred apricot, accompanied by Bay Mist Riesling. With a menu like this, you are sure to have a memorable dining experience that will leave you wanting more.
