Owlidays Bake Shop Brings Sweet Holiday Cheer

There’s something undeniably magical about the return of the Owlidays Bake Shop at Red Owl Tavern. This seasonal bake shop is back for another limited-time run, offering a heartwarming blend of homemade goodness and community support. From Monday, November 17, through Christmas Eve, December 24, Red Owl Tavern’s pastry team, helmed by Executive Chef Charles Vogt, invites locals and visitors alike to indulge in hand-crafted holiday treats — with a mission-driven twist.

What sets the Owlidays Bake Shop apart from your average seasonal pop-up isn’t just the quality of the confections, but the cause they support. A portion of the proceeds benefits Philabundance Community Kitchen, a local nonprofit culinary training program empowering individuals through food and workforce development. That means every bite you take, every box you gift, goes beyond the plate — it supports lives and livelihoods across Philadelphia.

Owlidays Bake Shop Menu: Croissants, Pies, and Philly Love

The culinary stars of the Owlidays Bake Shop are flaky, buttery croissant creations that somehow make a holiday morning feel even more festive. Sold by the half-dozen and available freshly baked or frozen to finish at home, the croissant lineup includes rich Chocolate Croissants ($32), classic Butter Croissants ($28), and the nutty indulgence of Almond Croissants ($32). Each is crafted with locally sourced ingredients that shine a light on Pennsylvania’s thriving network of farmers and purveyors.

If croissants are the opening act, the pies are the headliners. Red Owl Tavern has curated a crave-worthy mix of sweet and savory selections that are equal parts comfort and culinary finesse. On the sweet side, you’ll find:

  • Apple Crisp Pie ($28) made with Solebury Farms apples and oat streusel
  • Sweet Potato Pie ($28) featuring roasted Pennsylvania sweet potatoes topped with marshmallow fluff
  • Milk Chocolate Mousse Pie ($32), a decadent layering of caramel, toasted peanuts, and chocolate ganache

For savory indulgence, the options don’t disappoint. There’s a hearty Chicken Pie ($33) made with slow-roasted Murray’s chicken and PA carrots, a rustic Mushroom Pie ($30) crafted with mushroom Bolognese and béchamel, and a classic Quiche Lorraine ($27) with Leidy’s bacon and Gruyère custard. Vegetarians aren’t left out — the Farmhouse Quiche ($24) highlights preserved tomatoes, charred onions, baby spinach, and Valbresso feta.

Every item on the menu feels like it was pulled from the pages of a holiday memory — only this time, without the baking mess. It’s gourmet comfort food, made easy, made meaningful, and made in Philly.
