The Radnor Hunt Concours d’Elegance is throwing one of the region’s most theatrical black-tie evenings this September, complete with 007 theme songs, professional James Bond and Bond Girl models, and two authentic Bond film vehicles parked right at valet arrival. Held September 11-13 on the grounds of Radnor Hunt in Malvern, the 29th annual Concours pairs rare automobiles with a genuine sense of occasion.

A 007 Welcome at the Black-Tie Gala
Saturday evening, September 12, guests arriving for the Concours’ black-tie gala will find an Aston Martin DB4 and a rare Thunderball-era motorcycle displayed together in the valet arrival area, greeted by classic 007 theme music before they’ve even reached the door. Professional Bond and Bond Girl models will be on hand for photos, turning the arrival itself into part of the evening’s entertainment.
The vehicles themselves carry real film history. The Aston Martin is tied to Goldfinger’s legendary on-screen car, while the motorcycle — one of only two built for Thunderball — spent decades missing before its rediscovery, making both genuinely rare rather than simply themed decor for the evening.

The Radnor Hunt Concours Fashion Awards Program
Fashion has been part of the concours tradition since the earliest European events, where cars and high fashion were presented together as a shared celebration of style and craftsmanship. Radnor Hunt continues that lineage with its annual Fashion Awards Program, encouraging attendees to draw inspiration from Bond film fashion or classic concours style more broadly.
Four categories are up for grabs this year: Best Dressed Couple, Best Dressed Man, Best Dressed Woman, and a category built specifically for the occasion — Bond, James Bond. It’s a nice touch that turns the evening’s theme into genuine audience participation rather than just a backdrop.

Beyond the Saturday gala, the full weekend runs automobiles, motorcycles, fashion, and philanthropy together in support of Thorncroft Equestrian Center. This year’s edition also marks America’s 250th anniversary with special featured classes on automotive innovation, Bentley, ARCA racing history, and American automotive pioneers, joining a strong season for concours events across the Philadelphia region.
With two genuinely rare Bond vehicles as the centerpiece and a Fashion Awards Program that gives guests a real reason to dress the part, this year’s Radnor Hunt Concours is shaping up to be one of the more memorable nights on the region’s fall calendar. Tickets, event information, and vehicle nominations are available now at RadnorConcours.org — worth marking the date early, since a black-tie evening built this specifically around 007 doesn’t come around twice.
