All-Star Week 2026: MLB Brings the Midsummer Classic to Philly

All-Star Week 2026 brings the Midsummer Classic to Citizens Bank Park July 10-14 with the HBCU Swingman Classic, MLB Draft, Futures Game, MLBx 3-on-3, Home Run Derby, All-Star Village, and the All-Star Game.

All-Star Week 2026 runs July 10 through 14 in Philadelphia, bringing the 96th Midsummer Classic to Citizens Bank Park as part of the nation’s Semiquincentennial celebration. Major League Baseball and the Philadelphia Phillies have unveiled the full schedule of fan events taking place in and around the city, and the lineup extends well beyond Tuesday night’s All-Star Game. The HBCU Swingman Classic opens ballpark events on Friday. The MLB Draft takes place Saturday at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. The All-Star Futures Game and the newly created MLBx All-Star 3-on-3 fill Sunday. The T-Mobile Home Run Derby lands Monday. And the All-Star Game presented by Mastercard closes the week on Tuesday. All-Star Week 2026 is the biggest event Philadelphia will host this summer, and the schedule is built to fill five days rather than just one night.

Citizens Bank Park Events During All-Star Week 2026

All-Star Week 2026 at Citizens Bank Park begins Friday, July 10, with the fourth annual HBCU Swingman Classic presented by USA Baseball — a showcase for Division-I baseball student-athletes from Historically Black Colleges and Universities, co-created with Baseball Hall of Famer Ken Griffey Jr. The event airs live and exclusively on MLB Network and includes music, entertainment, and ceremonies drawn from HBCU culture. Tickets are available now at mlb.com/all-star/hbcu-swingman-classic.

Sunday, July 12, delivers a doubleheader. The All-Star Futures Game highlights baseball’s top prospects in a seven-inning exhibition with Minor League promotions, mascots, and entertainment. Following immediately is the brand-new MLBx All-Star 3-on-3 — a fast-paced, co-ed competition built around power hitting and athletic catching, consisting of two semi-finals and a final with each game lasting 30 minutes. The format unites male and female athletes alongside MLB legends and special guests, with lineups to be announced later. Monday, July 13, is Gatorade All-Star Workout Day, featuring the T-Mobile Home Run Derby. The All-Star Game presented by Mastercard closes All-Star Week 2026 on Tuesday, July 14.

Beyond the Ballpark at All-Star Week 2026

The Capital One All-Star Village — MLB’s marquee fan festival — welcomes visitors for four days from Saturday through Tuesday, July 11 through 14, at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. The Village includes Capital One PLAY BALL PARK, a youth participation-focused experience that transforms the Convention Center into a baseball theme park for fans of all ages. The MLB Draft presented by Nippon Express takes place Saturday, July 11, beginning at 1:30 p.m. from the Convention Center Grand Hall. Attending the Draft is free and open to the public. The All-Star Red Carpet Show, where MLB All-Stars showcase personal style and greet worldwide media with their families, takes place prior to the All-Star Game on Tuesday, July 14, and airs on MLB Network.

Youth Tournaments at All-Star Week 2026

Two hallmark youth tournaments run throughout All-Star Week 2026. The All-Star Commissioner’s Cup features teams of youth baseball players ages 17 and under from MLB Youth Academies across the country and in Puerto Rico. The Jennie Finch Classic presented by ARM and HAMMER features teams of youth softball players ages 17 and under from MLB Youth Academies and Jennie Finch softball programming. Both tournaments play at the Philadelphia Phillies Urban Youth Academy in FDR Park from July 10 through 12, with championship games on Monday, July 13, at the University of Pennsylvania.

All-Star Week 2026: MLB Brings the Midsummer Classic to Philly

The last time Philadelphia hosted the All-Star Game was 1976 at Veterans Stadium during the nation’s bicentennial. Fifty years later, All-Star Week 2026 returns to the city where the country’s story began as America marks its 250th anniversary. MLB Senior Vice President Jeremiah Yolkut framed the moment as more than a marquee sporting event — a celebration of tradition, unity, and shared experience set within a year when Philadelphia will host the world. If you have been following how Citizens Bank Park has been upgraded for 2026, the All-Star Game is the highest-profile stage those improvements will see. Further details on event-specific ticketing and broadcasts will be announced in the coming months at AllStarGame.com.
