Sunset Sundays at Assembly Rooftop Lounge runs every Sunday from June 14 through September 13 on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. Rooftop opens at 2pm, DJ programming and beverage partners run 4–8pm, evening closes at 10. Assembly Lounge Sunset Sundays has been a summer fixture at The Logan long enough that the crowd that shows for it knows exactly how the afternoon goes.
The timing is what makes it work. The Parkway view from up there — City Hall in one direction, the Philadelphia Museum of Art in the other, the boulevard between them — is a different thing at 3pm in June than after dark. The boulevard at that hour is still moving, and the rooftop gives you the whole picture.
The light changes across the afternoon in a way that a late arrival misses entirely. Getting there early is the point, and the DJ programming is calibrated to track that shift — the energy at 4pm is not the same as it is at 7, and the series is built to use the full arc rather than just the back end of it.
It’s drawn a consistent crowd on that basis for several seasons. Assembly Lounge Sunset Sundays holds a position in the city’s summer calendar that’s specific enough to be hard to replicate — Parkway rooftop, 2pm start, menu worth ordering from, DJ set long enough to actually settle into. Most summer rooftop programming is either brunch or late-night. This one owns the window in between.
Assembly Lounge Sunset Sundays — June Lineup
June 14 is also First Friday, which makes the opening session the natural place to start the season. Dame Williams and Edmonds Honor open that evening. DJ Capps and Bacardi follow on June 21. DJ Adrian Hardy and Rémy Cointreau close out the month on June 28. The live window runs 4–8pm each Sunday; rooftop is open 2–10. The July through September lineup will be announced as the season moves.
Assembly Rooftop Lounge is at 1 Logan Square, in through The Logan Hotel lobby on Arch Street. Open to the public — no hotel stay required. Sunset Sundays sessions fill up quickly; reservations are worth making a few days ahead.
Assembly Lounge Sunset Sundays — Summer Menu and Cocktails
Executive Chef Sonny Ingui has refreshed the food program for summer, picking up from the spring menu earlier this year. The additions lean coastal: Carne Guisada Taco ($18) on a corn tortilla with cilantro, onions, and chili lime aioli; Tuna Poke ($18) with citrus ponzu, chili aioli, taro chips, and cucumber; Laguna Blanca Salmon Cake ($17) with sauce ravigote, frisée, and pickled onions; Lobster Roll ($23).
Three new cocktails, and they cover different parts of the afternoon. Garden Party ($16) is the 2pm order — sauvignon blanc, St. Germain, Botanist Gin, lime, mint, cucumber, and Fever-Tree Elderflower Tonic. Wine-based, low-ABV, built for the beginning of the afternoon rather than the end.
Pulling Straws ($17) has more structure: strawberry-infused Roku Gin, Salers Aperitif, toasted cardamom, strawberry, and lemon. The Salers brings a gentian bitterness that holds the sweetness from collapsing — it gets more interesting as the afternoon goes on and it’s the better order later.

Staycation ($17) doesn’t pretend to be anything other than a tiki drink — Planteray Rum, Maggie’s Falernum, Yellow Chartreuse, coconut cream, pineapple, and lime. Spirit-forward, honest about it, the right call if you got there at 2 and the sun is still up at 7. The Frosé ($16) has been on the menu for several seasons; it’s frosé on a Parkway rooftop in July and it works. Zero-proof options are on the list.
