Meek Mill, Lil Baby and Lil Durk drop “Sharing Locations”

Made in America week kicks off with new music from Meek Mill, Lil Baby, and Lil Durk with their new track and video, “Sharing Locations”.

Between Kayne West’s final (maybe) drop of Donda on Sunday and Drake’s confirmation of a Friday, September 3 release for Certified Lover Boy, you can’t argue that this is one hardcore hip hop week. Top that off with the two-day Made in America, and the whole pre-Labor Day period is downright historic. In this breach gets birthed another sweet hip hop miracle – the long discussed collab between Meek Mill, Lil Baby and Lil Durk on the new single and video “Sharing Locations”.

Famously, Millie confessed recently to getting writers and rappers block in the familiar presence of Lil Baby and Durk and their formidable teaming, but seems to have gotten over it pretty quickly from the tone of “Sharing Locations,” a track I know we’ll see and hear at Made in America since Lil Baby is one of the weekend night’s headliners.

Directed by Mill, a first-time job for the Philly rapper and activist, the three-minute-long video with the shakiest Steadicam ever, was shot with a crowd packed around the Copper Cove restaurant in the ATL, along with a neighboring airport before a private plane. White Rolls Royces, lots of waving scarves, wads of cash and the insistent flashing of the words “18th St” and “Loyalty Club” across the screen make up the most of “Sharing Locations” visuals, with its AutoTuned lyrics focusing on money and merry mayhem. Another day at the office.

While Lil Baby and Lil Durk are still fresh off of their joint album, Voice Of The Heroes, Meek is teasing both another collab (this one with 42 Dugg and producer Cardo), after having filled 2021 with singles such as “Flamerz Flow,” “War Stories,” “Mandela Freestyle,” and a remix of Drake’s “Lemon Pepper Freestyle,” as well as dropping hints for a new upcoming Meek album.

During a weekend Twitter-verse Q + A session, Meek revealed that the new album might come sooner than imagined. 18 tracks and all.

“Album done so soon!…I’m back now!! I’m about to drop!…Like a matter of days lol.”

Is Millie going to be the one to go up against Drake now that Kayne West dropped Donda?
